Heart Notes: I am not lost
In our Creating Space community this week we are
going to be talking and writing and sketching about transitions and loss and that in-between space of leaving (a job, a relationship, a grief, a home, health) and arriving at our next destination. As I prepare for this conversation I was inspired to write this new blog post I am not lost. If you are in transition or know someone who is in transition you will want to check it out. And of course, if this conversation topic inspires you, we'd love to have you join the Creating Space community.

I just got back from a motorcycle trip to the Magdalene Islands (see the photo below). I arrived home with so many ideas for new designs. I keep reminding myself not to rush each project, the designs will be there when I get to them. There's something about sitting on the back of a motorcycle, with not much to do except look at scenery and daydream. It is very conducive to creative ideas for me.

YouTube!
Have you checked out my YouTube channel yet? Over the past few months I've been adding to a series of short videos called The Stories Behind. In these videos I profile a piece of my artwork, and describe the inspiration and some of the design elements behind it. This fall I'll be continuing with The Stories Behind and adding a very special webcast series that you won't want to miss. So please subscribe to my channel @merylcookartist and enjoy!

Check out my latest Artworks in progress below. I hope you like them!
