Heart Notes: Midlife creativity
I had a great conversation with
a musician recently for an upcoming episode of Renegade Conversations. We both had so much to share about the value of creativity in midlife in helping us to redefine our purpose, connect with joy and to find out who we are supposed to be now. Here's a recent blog post that talks about this and more How Creativity Can Spark Joy and Reduce Burnout in Midlife and Beyond. Having two new creative practices (my Renegade Conversations and my Wearable Art series) has invigorated me and put a bounce in my step.

What role does creativity play in your life? Share with me by hitting reply to this Heart Notes.

My wearable art has launched!
I'm over the moon happy to announce that I have launched my first collection of wearable art. I'm thrilled to see photographs of my fibre art on clothing that is elegant and well made. I love that each piece is made to order in Canada by local women in Montreal. This slow fashion means minimal waste and local production!

And this is just the beginning, as I will have more patterns and pieces to share. Here's the link to order online. Have a look and let me know what you think!

I will be ordering items for upcoming pop ups in June (see calendar, below). So if you are local and would like to see items or order to pick up from me directly, let me know. That order will be placed in the next couple of weeks.

Looking for sponsors
I'm in the process of setting up interesting and fun guests for Renegade Conversations Season Three. And I'm looking for sponsors to help cover the costs of editing and promotion. My sponsors get a mention at the beginning and end of each episode, their logo on the video and on my blog post announcing the episode. Plus they are welcome to provide a short video that will be played mid-episode. Sponsors that are a great fit are businesses that have women in mid-life as their main audience.

Interested? Send me an email and I'll be happy to provide my program stats and 2024 rates.

Artwork in Progress

The latest in my Renegade Woman series, this is 'Self Portrait 3'. I wet felted her torso and stuffed it with fleece. Notice her dragonfly tattoo. And of course her hair will be curly and white. She is 12" x 12" and will be mounted on an artist canvas, ready to hang.

If you would like to own one of my fibre art creations, take a look at my gallery or contact me. Custom designs also available.
