Heart Notes: Say it is so
Do you struggle with finding
affirmations that feel genuine and authentic? If you're a regular Heart Notes reader, you know I write about how your body hears what your mind says about it, and the immense value of speaking to yourself as if to someone you love.

I have a practice of writing positive affirmations in my daily journal. These affirmations strive to attract the energy I want in my life. They are usually on topics such as abundance, health and my business. Sometimes I struggle with finding an affirmation that feels genuine. For example, when I was going through treatment for breast cancer, it did not feel authentic at that time to write 'My body is healthy. All my cells are clear and vibrant.'. Instead I chose statements such as 'My body is working hard to get well. It is strong and resilient. Thank you body for healing.'

If you need some help coming up with affirmations that are self compassionate and feel authentic, I'd love to help. Hit reply to this email, or reach out for a complimentary conversation.

Wearable art
Sales of my first collection of wearable art have begun. Thank you so much for your orders. I'm thrilled to see photographs of my fibre art on clothing that is elegant and well made, and to know others are wearing and enjoying them makes me very happy. I love that each piece is made to order in Canada by local women in Montreal. This slow fashion means minimal waste and local production!

And this is just the beginning, as I will have more patterns and pieces to share. Here's the link to order online. Have a look and let me know what you think!

I will be ordering items for upcoming pop ups in June (see calendar, below) in the next couple of weeks. So if you are local and would like to see items or order to pick up from me directly, let me know.

So far this is my most popular item from my  Wearable Art clothing line! This is the Scarlet Shawl, made from knit chiffon. It has sleeves to keep it in place over your favourite top or dress. The fabric design is taken from a photograph of my mat Unconditional Love, part of the Love in the Time of a Pandemic tryptic. Slow fashion, minimal waste, eco-friendly dyes, designed and produced in Montreal, Canada.
Stay well and keep looking for those moments of joy. Thanks for reading and connecting. It means the world to me.

Warmly,

Artwork in Progress

The latest in my Renegade Woman series, this is 'Self Portrait 3'. Mixed media, rug hooking, wet felting and applique on linen. She is 12" x 12" and will be mounted on an artist canvas, ready to hang.

I have started another of the Renegade Woman series, along with a couple of pieces for the upcoming Squared Away show in July. I also have a full size Wild Woman on my Cheticamp frame and am gathering fibres to hook her with. She's called 'Wild Woman Dreaming in the Field Out Beyond' and is inspired by this Rumi quote.

If you would like to own one of my fibre art creations, take a look at my gallery or contact me. Custom designs also available.
