Heart Notes: Midsummer 'busting out'
In my part of the world (as in many places)
life has been a bit heavy. On the heels of our wildfires in Nova Scotia we had a huge storm and flooding that caused incredible damage. Suggestions for how to break up the heaviness and inject some lighthearted relief is the topic of this new blog post Busting out - The Midsummer night's dream edition.

Check out my latest Artwork in progress below. I hope you like her!

Creating Space "I've been thinking about something you said a while back Meryl. It was about how making and creating were both a luxury and an absolute necessity for you. I'm realizing how important spending time with my fabrics and my art is to me."

Artwork in Progress

I'm having so much fun with a set of 4 new Wild Woman Hair - the Renegade series. Here's the second one, still a work in progress.

Besides hooking and wet felting, I've been playing with watercolours. I'm sketching and then painting my new designs as a way of considering colour choices, and to see how well the designs work. I don't expect to be exhibiting my watercolour paintings anytime soon (if ever), but I really am enjoying the feel of brushing the paint on the paper. It is very meditative. As an artist, I think it is important for me to spend time with other mediums such as watercolour. There is no expectation, no pressure to make something beautiful. Just pure fun!

If you would like to own one of my fibre art creations, take a look at my gallery or contact me. Custom designs also available.
