Heart Notes: I am enough
Welcome to June! The lupines are appearing along the
Dartmouth harbour path, and we are getting the occasional warm day. Cruise ships are returning to our harbour after a hiatus of several years. Life is beginning to open up and return to a tentative new normal.

I've been thinking and writing and sketching lately on the theme of I am enough. I've been exploring the connection between exhaustion from keeping too busy and equating busy and productive with feelings of worth. I was raised to link being worthy with working hard. Does this resonate with you? If so, you'll want to read my latest blog post I am enough.

For the months of June and July in Creating Space we are playing and creating in the 8 Chakra Colours! Sign up today.

I'm looking forward to the launch of The Great Book of Journaling: How Journal Writing Can Support a Life of Wellness, Creativity, Meaning and Purpose on June 14. I've contributed a chapter called Journaling and Design Inspiration. Here's a quote from my chapter "As an artist, journaling is one way of showing up for yourself. It allows you to tap into what’s inside. By doing this you can make art that is a reflection of who you are. Art that has real impact.

Watch for an exciting new announcement in the next issue of Heart Notes. Hint: I'm joining a gallery in downtown Halifax! It's exciting to have a body of work and an opportunity to showcase it on an ongoing basis.

Artwork in Progress

My Cheticamp frame is at Adsum for Women and Children where their staff are hooking a piece of art designed by me for their new Sunflower housing project. Along with small pieces created by individual staff, this group project will be hung in the new community building, opening later this summer. (See above for a photo of the Adsum piece in progress.)

In the meantime I am busy framing my latest four pieces, and getting ready to dye more yarn for the Chakra fibre bundles for Get Hooked at Sea. (At printing there were a few spaces left on this life-changing adventure. Sign up today!)

If you would like to own one of my fibre art creations, take a look at my gallery or contact me. Custom designs also available.
