I'm breaking up with the hustle culture. New blog post, new YouTube video, writing prompt, where to find me and artwork in progress. Whew! lots going on in November.
And I know I'm not alone. I think the pandemic gave us all an opportunity to take a breath, to pause. And to think about what we really want in our lives. I've been thinking about this issue for a while now, and have just published this new blog post Ditch the hustle. I hope it resonates with you.
I had the pleasure of being interviewed in my home studio by Ivan Fraser for his program People of Passion. You can see the interview on YouTube here. It was so much fun to talk about all of the things I love as well as the work I am doing to help individuals and teams to destress, connect with themselves and each other, find joy and a renewed sense of purpose.
In Creating Space one of our recent prompts was "Where are you putting energy and attention these days? Can you shift it slightly? Can you increase or be
intentional about where you focus? In the coming week try setting an intention that aligns with where you want to put your energy. Can you write and sketch about this? Observe what happens and keep me posted." In response, Linda (who recently had eye surgery) wrote "This is an interesting prompt right now as I literally struggle to focus my eyes. The sun is coming around to my office so I'm going to take a break with my art journal and see what I come up with."
Stay well and keep looking for those moments of joy. Thanks for reading and connecting. It means the world to me.
Warmly,

If you watched the YouTube video I linked to above, you would have seen me taking 'Wild Woman Says "I am enough"' off my Cheticamp frame. In keeping with my recent series of Wild Woman Hair minis 'Ode to Lisa LaFlamme' series, she has gorgeous grey hair! The words from my journal that surround her are "I have so much to offer", "Grey hair rocks", and "I'm just getting started".
I'm busy mounting my pieces for Squared Away in December. As well, I've been making more Chakra Colour Pins for Art1274 Hollis Gallery, Argyle Fine Art Gallery, The Ice House Gallery Artisan Boutique, as well as for my online shop. These one of a kind pins are hooked on linen with a variety of my hand-spun, hand-dyed, recycled and commercial yarns and fabrics on linen. They are finished with a backing of recycled wool fabric and a nice big pin. Hand made with love for your jacket, coat or hat. Most of the pins are hooked in all 8 of the
Chakra colours. Custom pins are available.
If you would like to own one of my fibre art creations, take a look at my gallery or contact me. Custom designs also available.
My new Chakra Colour Pins - one of a kind, hooked with love are now in my online shop!
