What are you letting go of this fall? Do you find it easy to let go? Besides letting go of some of my winter clothes as I unpack them and my summer clothes as I get ready to pack them, I feel like I'm entering a new phase of my life and am ready to let go of some treasured possessions, ones that have been very close to my heart the past 8 years. I'll tell you a bit more about these later in this newsletter.
I've been hearing from Heart Notes readers and clients that they want to get started figuring out what makes their heart sing and how to move forward (see previous blog post Getting Started - 3 basic steps) but they find it difficult to find the down time to tune in. If this resonates, see my latest post Create a bit of quiet for some practical suggestions.
What am I letting go of? I wanted to tell you first I'm ready to start letting go of some of my original healing mats,
the ones that are featured in my first book One Loop at a Time, a story of rughooking, healing and creativity. Before I put them in my website shop, I wanted to offer them
to my loyal readers of Heart Notes. The mats I am offering are Abundance, Dancing in the Wind, Dancing Wildly - With Joy, Joy Releasing and Curvy Lines. Contact me by replying to this email if you are interested in purchasing. I will be offering them to the general public at the end of October.
This decision came about after a discussion with comedian Martha Chaves, who I was interviewing for my second episode of Renegade Conversations. We were talking about stories that we've told over and over that we feel we are ready to leave behind. We're ready to talk about current issues and what makes our heart sing. Hers was she was done talking about why she came to Canada, how she got started as a comedian, etc. Mine is the
initial story of how my reinvention from homeopath to artist began with breast cancer. I'm ready to move on from that experience. I want to talk about what makes my heart sing, my Wild Women art, helping others to find a renewed sense of purpose and joy, and building a community of renegade women supporting one another as we age, to continue to do meaningful work, to be seen, and to be able to choose how we rock our midlife and beyond. Offering my original healing mats for sale is one of the ways I am letting go and moving on.
Creativity in Midlife On October 9 I'll be speaking with Dr. Jenn Salib Huber, aka The Menopause Nutritionist, on her Midlife Feast podcast. I hope you'll tune in wherever you get your podcasts!
Coming soon to YouTube! October 16 is the launch of my webcast series (think podcast but with video) called Renegade Conversations. I've interviewed my first three guests and the release date is coming quickly! For more information and to find out who my first guest is, click here. Get ready for thought-provoking discussions that will make you question the norms and ignite your own renegade spirit. I'd be so pleased if you would subscribe to my YouTube channel so you don't miss an episode! And of course if you have any suggestions for potential Renegade guests, please drop me a line by replying to this email.
Check out my latest Artworks in progress below. I hope you like them!
