The in-between times can be a space of discoveries, of clarifying what is important, what to keep doing, what to do more of and what to discard. When life as ‘normal’ gets off track (due to a pandemic, retirement, illness, grief, etc.) it can be an opportunity to really be in the present, to take stock, to be here now.
I was reminded just yesterday about the gifts of clarity and focus that can come from a stressful or big life event. Something happens and life feels a bit topsy turvy. There is uncertainty, not knowing how things are going to resolve. Have you had a life-changing experience that makes it crystal clear just where you want to put your energy and focus? Suddenly all of the extraneous, unimportant issues become just that. Here is a blog post I wrote about grief, but which can apply to many life events The In-between Times of Knowing and Not Knowing.

'Wild Woman Spreads Her Wings' is complete! It is a mixed media piece, combining wet felted fabric stuffed with wool fleece, and rug hooking. I'm so excited about it!
I'm in the process of mounting, and finishing the four pieces pictured above, as well as photographing
these and two new Wild Woman mats that I will be adding to my gallery and shop very soon.
Like many of you, I'm also knitting a few gifts for the holidays, and decorating my home with lights and evergreen branches to chase away the darkness and welcome the Solstice.
If you would like to own one of my fibre art creations, take a look at my gallery or contact me. Custom designs also available.
Some close up details of one of my new Wild Women mats - Wild Woman is Feeling Inspired. She will be on my gallery and shop very soon!
