Heart Notes: Soul food
What are you doing this summer
that feeds your soul? Let me know by hitting reply to this email. I'd love to hear from you. I'm making time for art, picking Japanese Beetles off my roses (I think the beetles are winning, but there's something satisfying about dunking 30 or 40 beetles in a cup of soapy water as I watch the bees and wander my front yard in my bare feet), and last week I blocked out three hours each day to attend the noontime free concerts of the Halifax Jazz festival.

I'm still working away, booking guests and sponsors for my next season of Renegade Conversations, preparing materials for fall teaching gigs and following up leads for new adventures (stay tuned!).

Renegade Conversations - The Summer Road Trip Edition
Are you spending time in the car this summer? Travelling to visit friends and family or just on holiday? This summer I am re-releasing the audio versions of Seasons One to Three of Renegade Conversations. Expect them every Tuesday and Thursday, all summer long.

Feel free to download (&SUBSCRIBE) wherever you get your podcasts, and take Renegade Conversations to the beach, on a family road trip or even to your back deck with your spinning wheel. I've added some poll questions at the end of each episode, so feel free to chime in! Look for Renegade Conversations - The Summer Road Trip Edition on Tuesdays and Thursdays all summer long.

Renegade Conversations
Season Three of Renegade Conversations concludes this Friday with a very funny, thought provoking and engaging conversation with Dr. Joël Dickinson, Vice-Chancellor and President of Mount Saint Vincent University in Nova Scotia. Guests this season included Indigenous chef and entrepreneur Jenna White, feminist scholar Kristin Williams, musician, hockey player and lawyer with a difference Corinne Boudreau, and veteran, author and entrepreneur Debbie Adams. Be sure to check them out and share widely!

You can access Renegade Conversations on YouTube here.
Don't forget to subscribe to my YouTube channel . Or if you prefer to listen only, the audio version is available on Spotify or wherever you get your podcasts.

SHIFT podcast with Sheila Kelly
I recently had a wonderful conversation with Sheila Kelly on her SHIFT podcast. In her about section, Sheila says "Welcome to SHIFT where you can hear real stories from real people about how they overcame obstacles and learned to trust some kind of inner knowing about what to do and when to do it." It was a pleasure to meet Sheila and to share my story with her. You can watch it here.

I've added a few new designs to my Wearable art collection here's the link to order online. Have a look and let me know what you think!

Check out my latest Artworks in progress below. I hope you like them!

Having fresh flowers from my garden feeds my soul. Every time I walk by them it makes me happy.
I love sending you these notes from my heart. It means so much to me that you take the time to read and sometimes even hit reply! I guess that's something else that feeds my soul. Thanks so much for reading.

Warmly,

Artwork in Progress

I've begun preparations for my Chakra Colours by Design class at TIGHR (see calendar above). I'm spinning yarns that will be dyed in the 8 chakra colours, drawing patterns and making Chakra Colour Pin kits.

As part of my Chakra Colours by Design class I'm creating a new Chakra Colour hooked piece as a visual aid. At the moment I'm working on the Root Chakra with all of these delicious reds!

If you would like to own one of my fibre art creations, take a look at my gallery or contact me. Custom designs also available.
