Heart Notes: Getting started
I was sitting beside a woman recently who said
"I don't know what I should be doing. I'm 50 and my efforts to do x and y have been unsuccessful. I don't know where to begin to figure out what's next." I told her "that's exactly what I do! I help people figure out how to reconnect with their joy and find a renewed sense of purpose." You can check out this new blog post Getting Started - 3 basic steps to find out what advice I shared with her. And of course, if this conversation topic inspires you, we'd love to have you join the Creating Space community.

Coming soon to YouTube!
This fall, I am starting a webcast series (think podcast but with video) called Renegade Conversations. It will be hosted on my YouTube channel . I have the first few guests confirmed and they are renegades you will be so excited to learn more about. For more information and to find out who my first guest is, click here. Get ready for thought-provoking discussions that will make you question the norms and ignite your own renegade spirit.

Stories are Made Loop by Loop
This travelling exhibit is currently at the Virginia Quilt Museum (see details in the calendar below). In case you are not in the neighbourhood (like me), here is a walk through of the exhibit. I'm so delighted to have my work as part of this very moving exhibit.

Check out my latest Artworks in progress below. I hope you like them!

A moment of joy from my morning walk along the harbour with my dog Nita.In each season I love to see what the predominant colours are in the wildflowers. Right now in Nova Scotia it is a deep yellow, with the Black Eyed Susans, the GoldenRod, and this flower which I believe is in the Tansy family.
Stay well and keep looking for those moments of joy. Thanks for reading and connecting. It means the world to me.

Warmly,

Artwork in Progress

I've finished the four Renegade series pieces and am delighted with them! I'm currently working on a series of small (6"x6") pieces for the Squared Away exhibit at the IceHouse Gallery in December. I'm also wet-felting some elements for my next Wild Woman mat.

Here's a photo of the beach scene that has inspired three of the small pieces. One will be hooked entirely, one will be a mix of watercolour and hooking and the other will be all watercolour. Adding watercolour to my hooked art is something new for me, so I'm excited to see the results!

If you would like to own one of my fibre art creations, take a look at my gallery or contact me. Custom designs also available.
